Associate Director, Project Management
Associate Director, Project Management
SPARK NS seeks an Associate Director, Project Management to elevate our project management practice and drive the success of our strategic partnerships with the scientific community. You will oversee and develop a growing team of scientific Project Managers, ensuring operational excellence, timely achievement of milestones, and a collaborative, high-EQ culture across a portfolio of approximately 13 projects and growing.
Your leadership will empower Project Managers to anticipate and address risks, resolve operational challenges, and continuously improve the Project Manager skills. By supporting your team to deliver on critical project milestones, you will play a key role in advancing SPARK NS’s mission—helping innovative neuroscience discoveries move efficiently from lab to clinic.
This position reports to the Director of Translational Research & Development, who provides scientific leadership and makes all scientific and strategic project decisions. We welcome candidates with substantial industry experience, typically 10–20 years. An advanced degree is preferred given the team’s scientific background, but not required. We seek an experienced executor who thrives in complex scientific collaborations, mentors and demonstrates with empathy, and inspires a growth mindset in others.

Project Manager
Project Manager
We are looking for an experienced, curious, meticulous, and confident Project Manager to oversee and drive the successful execution of our groundbreaking supported projects. The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in a biomedical research field (preferably in neuroscience) and a strong background in project management, research, and development in industry. As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in orchestrating cross-functional teams at the intersection of basic research discovery and drug development, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality results.You will receive project management guidance and support from the Associate Director, Project Management, and scientific guidance from the Director of Translational Research & Development (TRD). This role will be onsite 4 days per week in our Menlo Park offices.

Learning Experience Designer
We are seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual to join our team as a Learning Experience Designer. In this role, you will play a key part in shaping the educational experiences of academic researchers by designing, developing, and delivering high-quality learning experiences that drive engagement and achieve learning outcomes. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including subject matter experts, creative teams, and other stakeholders to create compelling and effective learning solutions. The ideal candidate will have a background in biomedical research, learning experience design, or instructional design, and a passion for designing content that fosters a dynamic and inclusive learning environment. This role reports to the Education Manager.
